The study of Kokborok, the native language of Tripura, India, is the main subject of the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Kokborok undergraduate degree programme. The goal of this programme is to promote Kokborok language, culture, literature, and history preservation, understanding, it seeks to give students knowledge of Kokborok's language and culture in order contribute in its development and to improve communication within the Kokborok-speaking community. The three-year Programme is divided into six semesters.
Candidates should have completed their higher secondary education (10+2 level) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or educational institution with the minimum aggregate marks of 50 per cent.
After graduation, one can pursue careers as a teacher of the Kokborok language, a translator, a cultural officer, a linguist, a content developer, or a community development worker. Whether it be in campaigning, linguistic study, education, or cultural organisations.
